Party Time in Newmarket!!!
The Minor Atom A team gave it a good try on the weekend in The Newmarket Atom Tournament.The kids played some great games and The Soubra family hosted another great party!!
The kids started off by pumping 9 goals against Vaughan, starting the tournament off with a 9-2 win. That was followed up with a 6-3 win over Niagara Falls and a 1-1 tie with York Mills. The 2-0-1 record secured a spot in the Semi Finals against a solid St. Thomas team. The boys battled hard but eventually fell 4-2. They played a great game and should be proud of themselves.
After the games Saturday the extended team family descended upon the Soubra home for a team get together. The kids played in the basement while the parents partied upstairs. The food was fantastic and I'm sure some will be going to school and work for lunches on Monday. A great time was had by all, a very special Thank You goes out to Os and Dana for opening up their house(again) to all of us. The parent group on this team is really amazing and surprisingly has some fantastic dancers!!
Congratulations to The Owen Sound attack who won the tournament! We have relatives on the team and it would have been great to play them in the final.
