Great Weekend of Hockey!!
The Minor Atom A team had an excellent weekend of hockey in the Richmond Hill tournament.
They battled hard in every game of round robin play, with a particularly exciting victory against Whitby Blue, finishing in 3rd place entering the playoffs. Our opponent in the Semi's was Whitby White who had given us our only loss(5-3) to that point. Just as before it was a close game coming right down to the wire but unfortunately we came up short losing 3-1. Both games against Whitby White had empty net goals.
Hat's off to Reid and Hassan for some spectacular goaltending all weekend, and to all the kids for playing their hearts out. Sometimes there is victory in defeat and today it was one of those games. The kids played great all tournament and have really come together as a team.
