U16 AA Early Bird Champs
An incredible weekend for our U16 AA Newmarket Renegades, playing host to the first ever Newmarket Early Bird Tournamnet. The boys battled through the round robin going 4-0 and earning a place in the finals.
Taking on a very solid Ted Reeve Thunder in the finals it was a chess match. After a scoreless two periods we started the third period off with a renewed sense of energy and purpose, with a beautiful dish from Ryan Shaw and an incredible shot from Logan Grams, the team finally broke the deadlock going up 1-0. Finishing the game 2-0 after another great set up from Ty Hutton to Evan Wallace. Another huge performance between the pipes from Christian DiRezze helped edge out the win.
An amazing start to the season, all 18 players made contributions to help secure an undefeated run throughout the tournament. We are so incredibly proud of these boys for all of the effort that has gone into our pre-season. Another successful weekend full of great hockey lessons and team building. Thank you to all of the players, parents and coaching staff for such a fun weekend.
