Coach Mentors Required

The Newmarket Minor Hockey Association is accepting resumes for Coach Mentor positions for the upcoming 2015 – 2016 season. These positions will be compensated and will require approximately 25 hours per week of time commitment.





Suitable candidates must have the following:

- A current NCCP Development 1 certification or higher
- Knowledge of Newmarket Minor Hockey Structure and volunteer base
- Knowledge of all rules, policies and regulations of HC/OHF/OMHA/NMHA
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Police Record Check 

The responsibilities of the position will be:

- To help educate and instruct the coaching staffs of both house league and the competitive streams within the Association
- Develop a coaches manual to help facilitate the development of the associations coaches
- Help create and implement an Association “Playbook”
- Act as an advisor to the Executive of NMHA on all matters regarding coaching and teams
- Create and head up the Associations Hockey Development Committee and oversee that committee’s role
- Be responsible for creating a budget and overseeing its use for the Hockey Development Committee
- Report to the Officers of the Association and through them to the Executive of the Association
