Players and Parents,
Thank you for registering for House League in the U12/U13, U14/U15 and U21 (U16, U18 and U20) Divisions.
Opening weekend for these House League programs will be on October 16th, 2021.
At this time the opening weekend schedule has not been finalized. In the coming days you will receive an additional email outlining the details for opening weekend.
In the meantime, we wanted to provide you with information pertaining to the 2021-22 season, Proof of Vaccination and COVID-19 Safety & Re-Opening Plan.
U12/U13 Ice Times
- Start date October 16th – Championship weekend (final weekend) April 2nd
- U12/U13 will play on Saturday’s and Sunday’s
- Saturday’s ice times will be 11:15am, 12:15pm and 1:15pm at Ray Twinney Complex #2
- Sunday’s ice times will be 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30 pm at Scotiabank Arena (Magna Centre).
U14/U15 Ice Times
- Start date October 16th – Championship weekend (final weekend) April 2nd
- U14/U15 will play on Saturday’s and Sunday’s
- Saturday’s ice times will be 2:15pm, 3:15pm at Ray Twinney Complex #2
- Sunday’s ice times will be 2:30pm, 3:30pm at Scotiabank Arena (Magna Centre).
U21 Ice Times
- Start date October 17th – Championship weekend (final weekend) April 3nd
- U21 will play on Sunday’s and Monday's
- Sunday's ice times will be 6:45pm, 7:45pm and 8:45pm at Pfaff Arena (Magna Centre)
- Monday's ice times will be 7:15pm, 8:15pm and 9:15pm at Pfaff Arena (Magna Centre).
Proof of Vaccination Required for 12+
- All individuals 12+ will be required to provide proof of full vaccination for entry into a Town facility (Including participants).
- Fully vaccinated means all participants must have proof of two doses of a Health Canada Approved Vaccine or one dose of the Jansen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccine, plus a two-week waiting period from their last dose.
- All participants will be screened and asked to show the following:
- Proof of completion of the Town of Newmarket’s public screening survey
- Hard copy / digital copy of your proof of vaccination (two doses of a Heath Canada Approved Vaccine or one dose of the Jansen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccine dated at least two weeks prior to entry into a Town facility.
- A piece of ID that includes your full name and date of birth. (i.e. Driver’s License, Health Card, Government-issued identification card etc.)
Proof of Vaccination Exemptions
-Proof of vaccination is not required for the following:
- Children age 0-11 do not need to be vaccinated
- Those with medical exemptions. Participants will need to provide proof of medical exemption with a medical letter from a doctor or nurse practitioner
COVID-19 Safety & Re-Opening Plan - Arenas
- ONLY ONE Parent/Guardian will be permitted to enter with the participant. This is due to the Town of Newmarket spectator restrictions. The Parent/Guardian is permitted to stay and watch their child.
- Participants, coaches and guardians will be permitted to enter the facility through the West Entrance 30 minutes prior to their permit start time.
- Participants and their guardian will be required to complete the Town of Newmarket’s COVID-19 Public Screening Tool prior to entering the facility. QR codes will be at the entrance.

- Using a smart phone or home computer (print of checkmark), participants will be required to show the screening staff their green checkmark showing they are not experiencing any symptoms.
- Participants and guardians must wear a mask upon entry and will be required to hand sanitize their hands.
- Participants and their guardian shall sign in with their team trainer (provide name/number) name for contact tracing purposes.
- Participants must practice physical distancing (2m or 6 ft) while moving through public spaces, in the dressing room and staging areas.
Dressing Rooms
- Once screened; participants will have access to the dressing room hallway to make use of dressing rooms if needed or access the rink and head to the staging area A (team A) or area B (team B).
- Dressing room access will be 30 minutes prior to your session
- Individuals will wear facemasks in the change rooms all the time.
- Dressing rooms are for “quick change and go”. Please do not use a dressing room as a meeting place to chat.
- Participants may remove their mask prior to entering the playing surface.
- At the end of the program time, participants will proceed to the dressing room or the exit staging area (if applicable).
- Maintaining physical distances, patrons will exit the facility via clearly signed exit door (please refer to the appropriate facility map).
