Volunteers needed for the 33rd Annual Silver Stick Finals -January 10-13, 2019

The 33rd Annual International Silver Stick Finals are happening in Newmarket from January 10-13, 2018.  There will be over 70 teams participating in 8 different venues over the weekend.   We are looking for committed volunteers to help out during the weekend.  All volunteers/leads will be provided an orientation to the weekend to ensure we are ready to go for January 10!  

Volunteer Positions needed:
Volunteer Site Leads – Must be over 18 years old – will be responsible for overseeing all volunteers and rink operations for a particular venue.
                Thursday, January 10 – Require a Lead for Magna Centre.  All 4 rinks will be running.
                Friday, January 11 – Require 8 Leads for all Venues – Shifts 7-3 and 3-11:30 and SAC - 7am-6pm
Saturday, January 12 - Require 8 Leads for all Venues – Shifts 7-3 and 3-11:30 and SAC - 7am-1pm
                Sunday, January 13 – Require 3 Leads – 2 Shifts at Ray Twinney 1 (7-2 & 2-9) and 1 Lead at Magna from 7:30am-12:30pm
General Volunteers – Must be 14 years or older.  Will be responsible for various duties (registration, runners, deliveries, etc)
This is a great opportunity for students to earn their community hours.
                Will require 4 or 5 volunteers per venue per shift to assist with general operations of the tournament.
Specialty Positions
                Music Playlist Creators – We need playlists created for each venue to play during and between games
                Announcers – To announce starting lineups and provide in game commentary (penalties, goals,
Food/drinks will be provided to volunteers at each venue throughout the day.  Come out and be part of making an already great tournament even better!!
