For the month of October the Minor Bantam MD team wore pink in the rink and collected donations in support of Breast Cancer Research. Two of our Coaches (Todd Eves and Dan Jenkins) established a fundraising goal of $1,000 that if reached would see Todd shave his beard and head and Dan not cut his hair until the end of the season! We surpassed our goal and at our last practice the boys got to give Coach Todd his prize. For Coach Dan it is a season long prize that we all get to witness! We will be sure to post pics!
Thanks to our team families and their friends for your support in helping the boys reach our fundraising goal and to make a sizable donation to the Canadian Cancer Society!
Well done team!!!

On Sunday, October 20th our boys volunteered at the Newmarket Community Food Garden. We help spreading wood chips and getting the gardens ready for winter. It was great to see the boys having fun and a lot of laughs while helping out our community! Well done boys!!!

The Newmarket Redmen Minor Bantam MD players showed their community spirit this past weekend by volunteering at the Newmarket Food Pantry. Along with donating over 250lbs of food the boys sorted food items and stocked the shelves. It is always an eye opening experience for both parents and players. The food pantry gets alarmingly low on food and home supplies during the summer and early fall, prior to thanksgiving.
It certainly reminds our families how fortunate we are and how important it is to give back to our community and those in need.
Well done Redmen!!!!
