Our Peewee AE Red team made the long trip to Montreal this weekend to compete in the CAN/AM tournament.
The boys made the most of the weekend going undefeated in 4 games and not allowing a single goal the whole tournament (even after being down a player after a serious injury).
In addition to clinching gold, the boys made Newmarket proud during the skills competition by winning the relay race and placing second in the shoot out competition.
Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents and fans who came out to support the team!! We are also wishing a speedy recovery to our injured teammate.
Way to go Redmen!!

The Peewee AE Red team had a great weekend
participating in the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament. Going into the
finals they were undefeated and ready to battle hard for a sixth win.
It
was not the outcome we were hoping for, but they played with heart, determination and
teamwork. Way to go boys!

The Peewee AE - Red team competed in their first tournament of the season that ended in a second place finish.
The team encountered challenges during the second half of the semi-final game and the final game when the team goalie could not return to play due to illness. A player on the team stepped up and filled the role so the team could continue to play in the tournament without forfeiting.
This week-end was a true testament to what hockey is about and the life lessons that are learned through team sports. Great start to the season Peewee AE Red!
