2017-2018 Novice House League!
Welcome to the 2017-2018 Novice House League Division!
This will be an exciting year as the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association and the Aurora Minor Hockey Association are merging for the season!
We will be battling it out on the ice week to week against not only ourselves, but our rivals in Aurora as well! We will all be taking turns this year with home and away games with the Magna Centre being our home rink this year for the most part.
As in previous years we will be conducting a evaluation skate to assess all the players. The evaluation skate consists of some simple on ice drills each of the kids will be put through to basically showcase where each players skills are at. In doing this exercise, it allows us to ensure the teams are as balanced as possible from the get go.
One thing that is extremely important is that the kids don't stress about the evaluation skate, it's not a try out at all and they should have fun out there and just do their best! Saturday September 16th is the evaluation skate date, I'll be sending out an email to each family this week to let them know of their time-slot.
