U12 AA, AA Rep, 2023-2024 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

Congratulations on the outstanding efforts of the U12AA Newmarket Renegades this 2023/2024 Season.  They have earned the title of YSMHL Champions for the second year in a row!  They battled hard all season winning the Newmarket Early Bird Tournament, the Lake Placid Can/Am Challenge Cup and were finalists in the Paul Coffey Tournament. The season ended after finishing first in their Playoff Division and they continued to battle hard through semi finals against the Richmond Hill Jaguars.  The season ultimately ended with a sweep against South Simcoe Storm in the finals.  The overall season ...

Congratulations to the U12AA Renegades on a successful Paul Coffey Tournament!  The boys worked hard throughout the tournament and won all four round robin games.  Semi finals was even more of a thrill when the 4-4 tie led to overtime without a goal.  The boys managed to capture the win in a shoot out!  The final game was a 4-2 loss against the Vaughan Rangers, ending the team's 24 game streak without a loss.  Congratulations to Vaughan on their success and a special thanks to the Mississauga Terriers for putting a great tournament together.  

The Newmarket Renegades U12AA Team brought home gold from the Lake Placid Can/Am Challenge Cup this weekend. We were the only Canadian team in our division and remained undefeated through our round robin games against Boston Jr Rangers, Seacoast Spartans and Bay State Breakers. The championship game had us facing undefeated Team Philadelphia and it was a very competitive game that remained in a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation time!10 minutes of nail biting overtime resolved nothing and we were off to a shoot out!! 

The U12AA Renegades participated in the Newmarket Early Bird Tournament this past weekend. With a number of top ranked teams in the province scheduled to play, the Renegades knew they would have to bring their A game if they were going to compete for the Gold. After a tie, a loss and two wins, the Renegades advanced to the finals to face the only team they were defeated by in the tournament – North Toronto. They knew it would be a battle with North Toronto popping two quick goals in the first but by the second period, the Renegades found their stride and made a huge comeback scoring 6 goals ...

Welcome to the Newmarket Renegades U12AA Hockey Team Page. My name is Reid Black and I am the Head Coach for the 2023 - 2024 hockey season.  I am excited to build off a very successful season where the team won the 2022-2023 York Simcoe Championship and attended the OMHA's in Kingston, and can't wait to see the team continue to develop.  The first skate May 2nd is only for HL, BB/MD and Select Skaters only.
