A Good Weekend in Ottawa
Submitted By Matt Spitzig on Wednesday, December 4, 2019
The Minor Peewee A Redmen continue their recent good run of form by finishing with a 3-1 record in the Mid-Season Capital Classic this past weekend in Ottawa

The team started the weekend off on Friday morning by beating the Nepean Black Raiders 4-2. After a quick lunch the Redmen started their second game on Friday slow and were unable to slow down the Mississipi Thunder Kings and lost 6-2. Saturday’s games both ended in 2 victories for the Redmen as they beat the Nepean White Raiders 5-3 and the Cumberland Grads 3-1. Unfortunately for the Redmen, losing the 1 game and having the most difficult schedule of the 12 teams in the tournament, they were unable to advance to the top 5 playoff format and headed home Sunday morning through some difficult weather.

The team was able to bond through some team dinners, team building activities, fun in the pool and at the rink.

Next up for the Minor Peewee A Redmen are the King Rebellion on Saturday Night at Ray Twinney 1 starting at 6pm.

Keep up the great efforts Redmen!
