The Newmarket Redmen Peewee AE White team’s elves have been working hard this season by collecting and donating many items, such as clothing, food, winter gloves, toques, and toiletries to the Inn from the Cold Shelter here in Newmarket.
Inn from the Cold has been operating since 2004 and has served thousands of our community members in their time of need. Inn from the Cold program serves homeless men and women as young as 17 years old with their oldest client currently at 82 years of age; anyone is welcome. They offer more than just a warm place to sleep but have also developed day programs to assist individuals to improve their situation. They run on minimal staff and are largely supported by amazing volunteers!
We are proud of our team; who have shown empathy towards those who are less fortunate and who are struggling during this holiday season. Thank you for taking care of our community! Great work Redmen!
