The Minor Peewee A team have been busy this week helping within the community.   The boys came together at the Newmarket Food Pantry last week, sorting food to help stock the shelves at the pantry. It was a humbling morning understanding the need for the pantry, and the number of people in the community that rely on it. The boys showed enthusiasm in working as a team to sort through the 240 pounds of food they donated. Congratulations to the Minor Peewee A team for winning the Championship at the Bradford Blue & Gold tournament this weekend. Winning 3 out of their 4 games in the Round Robin, the boys came out determined in the semi-final game. After an intense 3 periods, the team worked hard to win 1-0 in overtime. The championship game against Burlington Eagles was a nail biter. Going into the second period down 2-0, the team stuck to their motto 'Whatever it takes, we work together'.
