Peewee AA – York Simcoe Champions
Congratulations to the Newmarket Redmen Peewee
AA hockey team for winning the 2017/2018 York Simcoe Championships.
The Redmen went into the York Simcoe’s after a tough loss in the OMHA Quarter Final round, but the team regrouped and grew even stronger on route to the York Simcoe Championship logging a 9-1 record. In the Semis, the team swept TNT outscoring them 13-4 to move into the Finals facing Richmond Hill. In a very tight Final, with 2 of the 3 games being won in the last minute of regulation play, the Peewee’s managed to win the Championship and are now headed to the Lakeshore Challenge on Apr 14th. This Championship capped off a very successful season - 70 games played with a 53-13-4 record, 271 GF and 92 GA, 2 Tournament Championships in Peterborough and Chicago and 2 Tournament Finalists in Orangeville and the Silver Stick. Congratulations to the players, coaches, sponsors and of course to the parents for all of their support. Way to go Redmen!!
