Atom AA, 2017-2018 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the Atom AA team on winning back-to-back York Simcoe Championships! They beat the Aurora Tigers in an exciting and action-packed game 5, with the series tied at two games each. The game was tied 1-1 at the end of the third period, and they headed into overtime - the 4th overtime game in this very close series. During the overtime period the Redmen had to kill off two minor penalties. They showed perseverance and never gave up scoring the series winner with only 12 seconds left in OT!

In the true spirit of the holiday season, the Atom AA team took some time as they do each year to remember how lucky they truly are and give back to those in need.  This year, they chose a charity with global impact.

The winning tradition continued as the Redmen Atom AA team took home the Championship at the Brian Steele Memorial tournament in Toronto on Sept. 17th.  This tournament is hosted by the Hillcrest Canadians.
