The Newmarket Redmen Novice AA kids took the opportunity to shake off the summer rust and improve their new team skills recently a the Kawartha Lakes 'AA' Tournament in Peterborough, September 16-18, 2016.
After a well played first few days out-shooting and out-chancing many of their opponents in round-robin play, the team fell just short of winning it all in a 2-1 loss in the final match to a competitive Pickering Panthers team. Overall, the weekend was a great success as teammates, new and old, began to gel and bond together both on and off the ice. Congratulations to the all of the players on a fun weekend and hard-fought competition.
