Novice AA, 2016-2017 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

What a night for the Novice AA team.  Fresh off their 3rd place finish at the Ottawa Senator Novice AA Holiday Classic their 2016 campaign was capped off by a visit from the big man himself....Santa!  After a tight practice full of competitions, the 3 lines finished in a 3 way tie!  Smiles and laughter finished off a wonderful 2016 as the team headed out for meal to celebrate.  Looking forward to 2017.  Go Redmen!

After four consecutive losses, the Newmarket Redmen Novice AA are back in the winning 'saddle' again with a recent win over the Richmond Hill Stars on Saturday. No more 'foaling' around for these kids. Getting back to the hockey basics and overall hard work have resulted in the team getting back to their winning ways. The team has had to make a few adjustments with injury and position changes but seem to have found their 'gallop' again. Lets hope we prove those 'neigh'-sayers wrong and keep this streak going.

It was a good time to be in Newmarket this weekend with the Rogers Hometown Hockey kicking off their inaugural road trip celebrating minor hockey across the country. It also marked the restart of the Novice AA regular season games after a two week hiatus from competition.

The Novice AA Fundraiser Pub Night was a big success this past Saturday night at Colonel Mustard's in Newmarket. The organizing committee did a fantastic job planning, decorating and running the affair. The band, Sons of Ringo, had the crowd singing and dancing throughout the night with some great recent songs and even some blasts from the past. We would especially like to thank all the nearly 150 friends, family and team supporters that came out to sponsor local minor hockey in Newmarket and help make this a fun and successful event. Thanks for assisting our goal!

The Novice AA Redmen played a 2 game, home at home series, against the Barrie Junior Colts this past week.
