The NMHA is pleased to announce that Kim Wittekoek has been appointed as our new Secretary. Kim has been the manager of her son's team for the past 5 years. Additionally, she has taken on the role of Assistant Trainer. Kim has also been a long standing volunteer at various association events such as International Silver Stick Newmarket Finals, The Battle of Yonge Street and during the town's annual July 1st event. Welcome Kim!! GO RENEGADES!!

In an effort to reduce travel and accommodate the continued growth of the York Simcoe Minor Hockey League (YSMHL), the league and its member associations have voted in favor of a divisional realignment, effective for the 2025/26 season. Effective immediately, the YSMHL (U10-U18) will be split into two divisions—North/West and South/East—based on the geographical location of each association. This realignment is designed to improve scheduling efficiency and minimize travel distances for participating teams.

The NMHA is excited to announce that our RENEGADES REP program will include the following programming for the 2025-2026 season. On Ice Skills Development Sessions – all rep teams will have a minimum of 10 on ice skills and skating development sessions included as part of their team schedules led by highly qualified instructors. Welcome to the Newmarket Renegades U18 AA Team Page.

My name is Dave Paterson and I will be the Head Coach for the upcoming 2026/2027 hockey season.

I am looking forward to all players competing for their spots on the team. The positions are going to be earned through hard work, determination, IQ, integrity and poise. I am looking for players committed to the program who are willing to put their best foot forward everyday and represent the crest on the front not the name on the back.

Having established a solid program that has evolved over the years, I am excited to implement my knowledge and have the players execute a winning program. Winning an OMHA championship in 2022-23, came with discipline and a willingness from the players that I am hoping to repeat this season.

In the upcoming season players can expect an in depth practice program, off ice training, weekly video analysis, a solid tournament schedule that is sure to be unique including top tier local and several away tournaments like British Columbia and/or Nova Scotia.

Our first evaluation is April 27th, 7:45 pm Magna - Pfaff.
