Welcome to the 2026/27 Newmarket U11A Team
Welcome to the Newmarket Renegades U11 "A" Home Page.
My Name is Greg Moore and I will be the Head Coach for the 2026/27 hockey season. This is an especially exciting year as we celebrate Newmarket Minor Hockey’s 70th Anniversary!

After a successful first season of full ice hockey, we are extremely excited for what we have in store for next season! This past season, our group learned the roles, responsibilities, accountability, teamwork and culture that makes a successful team. Using our momentum from the past season, we are going to push that forward into next year and be a top contender within our age group and division.

Everything your 10-year-old needs to develop and love the game – we've got it covered this year. That includes pre-season training camp, multiple on-ice sessions per week, power skating clinics, introduction to off ice training, goaltender clinics, team meetings, film review sessions, team building, multiple tournaments, bonding events and much more. Learn more about our commitment to excellence here.

Earning a spot on this team goes beyond skill alone. I will be evaluating every aspect of each athlete - are they a great teammate, competitive drive, coachability, attitude and above all, their work ethic. My coaching philosophy is built on discipline, accountability and a team-first mindset. I look for those same values in every player who steps into our dressing room. The teams that win championships aren't just the most talented - they're the most connected, hardest working and it's that tight-knit dressing room culture that I am committed to building here in Newmarket.
