The NMHA is pleased to announce that Kim Wittekoek has been appointed as our new Secretary. Kim has been the manager of her son's team for the past 5 years. Additionally, she has taken on the role of Assistant Trainer. Kim has also been a long standing volunteer at various association events such as International Silver Stick Newmarket Finals, The Battle of Yonge Street and during the town's annual July 1st event. In an effort to reduce travel and accommodate the continued growth of the York Simcoe Minor Hockey League (YSMHL), the league and its member associations have voted in favor of a divisional realignment, effective for the 2025/26 season. Effective immediately, the YSMHL (U10-U18) will be split into two divisions—North/West and South/East—based on the geographical location of each association. This realignment is designed to improve scheduling efficiency and minimize travel distances for participating teams.

Registration is open for evaluations for Rep Teams U14 thru U18 for the 2025 - 2026 season. Don't miss your opportunity to be a Renegade. Our REP program is committed to your development and to setting a standard of excellence. Welcome to the U14BB Newmarket Renegades Program.

As we gear up for the evaluation skates, we encourage all eligible 2012 born players to consider the Newmarket U14BB team as their destination for a great hockey experience in the upcoming season.

The core of this team is built on respect, hard work, high compete, perseverance in an environment that is supportive but also holds the players accountable to achieving their maximum potential in a team environment.

Evaluations this year will likely include players from other centers with the introduction of open borders. It is important for all players considering the U14BB program that they bring a positive mindset and give their maximum effort in pursuit of securing a position for the upcoming season.

We look forward to seeing everyone shortly.
