U10 AA, U10-U11 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

Welcome to the U10AA 2025/26 Season

Hello and Welcome to the Newmarket Renegades U10 AA Home Page

The U10 AA team will continue to build a strong cultural foundation for 2016 born Renegades future success.  With a focus on strong inclusive group dynamics, skating, puck handling, and determination - to progress both as a team and individuals.

Successful candidates must possess strong focus and listening skills along with physical and cognitive abilities to grow with the game.

Only players with high levels of energy and compete will be considered.

I look forward to assembling a driven and inspired group for the 2025-26 season.

A couple of important notes:

• All participants must register for the NMHA “Passport” prior to attending our first evaluation
• All players are reminded to wear proper equipment per the OMHA rules. This includes mouth guards and neck protection. Players not wearing appropriate protection will not be permitted to take part in evaluations.

Team Budget:

Player fees for the 2024/25 season can reach up to $3000 per player though hopefully mitigated by way of sponsorship and fundraising.  Initial player fees of $1000 will be expected as of May 1st with the balance determined and paid by Nov 1st
Included in the budget will be at least 2 tournaments as well as additional training.

Each week we expect to have a 1 hour skills session, 1.5 hour tactical practice as well as off ice training sessions at Blood Sweat Train.  We will also have video sessions using Hudl in the NMHA boardroom. Attendance is assumed at all team sessions.

Please expect to be with the team 3-5 times a week on average.

Pre-Evaluation Skates:

There will be a series of pre-evaluation skates that will be made available.
You must sign up for these through the NMHA website.  These pre-evaluation skates are not part of the evaluation process and there is no mandatory attendance.  These pre-skates will provide an opportunity for players to skate and mentally prepare themselves for the evaluation process.

• April 9th – 6:15-7:15 p.m. – Magna Centre – Pfaff Rink
