U16 BB, BB Rep (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

A big congratulations to the U16 BB team and coaching staff on this accomplishment.  Out of 8 teams Newmarket came in second overall in the tournament.

The Holiday Drive, in partnership with various schools, civic organizations, businesses, individuals and the Newmarket Church of Christ, help ensure some of the most at-risk families in Newmarket are able to have a Christmas. Each U16 BB hockey family received a gift request as part of the drive. In addition to the gifts, each family will receive a turkey dinner, food voucher from the Lions Club, socks, pajamas, and other essential items as needed (bed sheets, toiletry items, etc.). The Holiday Drive has been serving some of the most at-risk families with children for 14 years.

Head Coach Ryan of the Barrie Colts reached out to all the other U16 BB teams requesting support for one of their goalies, Josh T., during a challenging time for him and his family.

Last weekend our U16 BB team secured the Silver medal in the Paul Dossey Memorial Tournament, falling just short of the Gold to Ontario's #3 ranked Kitchener Junior Rangers (Red).

Congratulations to the U16 BB team for securing the Bronze Medal this past weekend in Montreal's CAN/AM tournament.
