Newmarket Renegades White Crowned 2025 YSMHL U12B Champions
Newmarket, ON – The Newmarket Renegades White capped
off a dominant playoff run with a thrilling victory over their cross-town
rivals, Newmarket Renegades Red, to claim the
2025 York-Simcoe Minor Hockey
League (YSMHL) U12B Championship.
Renegades White set the tone early in the postseason, going a
perfect 4-0 in the Qualifier Round to secure first place in
Pool A with
eight points. Their flawless performance gave them a prime position heading into the semi-finals.
Facing off against the
Aurora Tigers Gold in a
best-of-three semi-final series, the Renegades proved their resilience.
Game 1 was a nail-biting
3-2 victory, showcasing their ability to win tight contests. They left no doubt in
Game 2, delivering a commanding
7-0 shutout to punch their ticket to the
Championship Final.
The championship series brought an all-Newmarket showdown, as the Renegades White battled their counterparts,
Renegades Red, in a heated
best-of-three final. The series opened with a strong
5-2 win for White, but Red fought back in Game 2, handing them their first loss of the postseason with a
3-2 defeat. With everything on the line in
Game 3, the Renegades White delivered a statement performance, skating to a dominant
7-1 victory to secure the
2025 YSMHL U12B Championship title.
