U18 MD, MD, 2022-2023 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the U18MD Renegades on winning the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament this weekend!  After winning their first two games against league rival Georgina and the Vaughan Rangers they lost a close game three 1-0 against their finals opponent George Bell Titans. That loss really motivated the boys and they came out hard in today's championship game to secure a 4-0 victory in playing their most complete game of this young season.  Congrats to the boys on a well earned championship!!! Well Done!!

MD hockey provides a 'no body checking' format for those athletes still interested in playing an organized REP style of game.   The focus for the 2022 -2023 season for the U18MD team will be on team strategies and team play. I will be looking for athletes that are committed to team play and who can contribute to a 'team first' culture. While hard work, respect and commitment will be expected there will be a focus on a fun competitive environment. This will be your last year or two of organized minor hockey and it is important to me that it is enjoyable. Winning is always more fun and we ...
