Minor Midget MD York Simcoe Champs!!!
Congratulations to the Newmarket Redmen Minor Midget MD hockey team for winning the 2017/2018 York Simcoe Championships!!
The awesome season has ended and the boys brought home the hardware in convincing fashion beating Aurora in 3 straight, overwhelming them 7-1 in the final game.
The boys wanted it and this playoff run was the final feather in the cap. It was a great season with the team going 12-1-1 over 14 playoff games. A great group of kids accomplished many things during the inaugural year including the best record in NMHA Rep at 23-2-1, a combined 35-3-2 for playoff and regular season, ranked as one of the best teams in Ontario, York Simcoe Champions, and 2 time undefeated tournament champions.
Nothing adds to the success of the players more than having a great bench staff, manager, volunteers, sponsors and a super parent group.
Amazing way to finish off an outstanding season!
