Minor Midget MD, 2017-2018 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

What more can be said about this great group of boys this year. Not only a dream season for the Minor Midget MD team, but they ended the season the way they started it, by winning the year end tournament.

Congratulations to the Minor Midget MD team for bringing home the hardware and championship this weekend at the Bradford Blue and Gold tournament.  

Minor Midget MD players came to play this weekend at the Markham Early Bird Tournament. Playing a tough group of teams, the team used heart and hard work to go through the round robin a perfect 3-0, outscoring the opposition 14-3! Newmarket went into the semis with a big win to set up a finals rematch with Barrie (Newmarket won 2-1 in the first round).  After a close first and second period and up only 2-1, Barrie got a penalty shot awarded to them.
