Bantam A, 2016-2017 (Newmarket Minor Hockey)

What an exciting weekend for the Newmarket Bantam A team going undefeated throughout the tournament and winning 3-1 in the championship game against the Mississauga champions, the Phantom Wolves. End to end action and total team effort. Newmarket went up 1-0, the Wolves tied it up 1-1. We put one in late in the third to go up 2-1, then put it away with an empty net goal and the rest is in the record books. Exciting game tying goal with goalie out and a minute left in one tough game and an exciting third period comeback down 5-2 and winning 6-5 got us to the playoffs.   After that the ...
