Minor Peewee AA Takes Silver at Mississauga North Stars Scotiabank Cup!
Congratulations to the Redmen Minor
Peewee AA Team for taking Silver at this weekend’s Scotiabank Cup.
The tournament included 3 groups of 4 teams including several of the top teams in Ontario. Our Minor Peewee team advanced through the Preliminary round with 5 of 6 points earning victories over the Mississauga Ice Warriors 5-1, Ted Reeve Thunder 5-1 and earning a tie in a close game against the Burlington Eagles 2-2. In a tight Semi Final game, the Redmen came out on top with a 2-0 victory over the Whitby Wildcats to earn a berth in the Championship game later that day. In the Championship game, the team met the 2016 OMHA Champion Milton Winterhawks but fell short losing 5-2 to take Silver at the Scotiabank Cup. Congratulations to the players for a fantastic weekend, and to the families for their unwavering support this season. Great job boys!
