Born and raised in Newmarket, Todd has been a lifelong player and member of the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association. Having been a goalie for much of his playing career, Todd has always enjoyed playing for our local association. Past his minor hockey, Todd's playing career was cut short due to various amounts of surgeries. Now, greatly enjoys volunteering time towards minor hockey and the current NMHA executive board.
Started his coaching career approximately 25 years ago with the NMHA with house league teams. As time progressed, he moved along to various roles with the rep teams including certified trainer & assistant coach, goalie coaching and more. The attachment to hockey remains constant and strong, wanting to give back as others did for him growing up.
Also has been a long-standing head coach with the Newmarket Baseball Association. Todd has been a realtor for the past 23 years, 3rd generation in his family with 4 generations now active within this industry.
'My coaching philosophy is simple. Great communication and trust between all parties of any team is paramount. Then, with all acknowledging our team's objectives and committing to those plans together. This allows us as coaches to build the best possible version of ourselves for the season ahead".
"Dedicated to getting the most out of each athlete to further enhance their enjoyment within the game of hockey, I look forward to building new relationships with the players and parents as we go forward".
