Bruce Martin (U12 'A')

Bruce Martin will be entering his seventh season volunteering as a Newmarket Minor Hockey coach.  He started his minor hockey career in 1969, playing for West Hill in the old Scarborough Hockey Association, progressing through the ranks from House League, to All-Star and eventually to 'AA'.  As his family moved to Edmonton and Calgary, Bruce continued playing at a competitive level, ending his career playing Senior 'A' Men's hockey in the Hockey North America League in Western Canada.
He also competed for Team Canada three times at the Hockey Europe tournament that was held in Zoetermeer, Holland. Although his hockey playing days are now comprised of being a fill-in here and there, his new passion is coaching his two son's as they develop their rep careers as part of the NMHA.
During the off-season, Bruce is also an assistant coach in the Newmarket Hawks baseball system.
