Jason is very excited to be returning as head coach for the U14 AA team and looks forward to helping them continue to grow their love of the game and build off the foundation of development that has been set in place. His coaching philosophy is to give players the confidence to excel at all aspects of the game and to help them understand the important values the game offers for future life skills.

Jason is a proud father of 4 children, who all play competitive hockey in York region. Born in Newmarket, Jason grew up in the Ottawa area playing goal at the AA level in minor hockey and eventually playing 4 years at the JR C.  He still plays 2-3 times per week in different men’s leagues and charity teams in the area.

Jason has been involved with NMHA for the last 7 seasons and has filled many different roles on the bench, from trainer to goalie coach to assistant coach on various teams, as well as coaching his daughters in CYGHA and GGHA. He has worked with many great coaches over the years and understands what it takes to get the most out of the players every time they step on the ice.

Jason is a professional firefighter, in the City of Toronto, and looks forward another season as head coach where he will pass on his professionalism both on and off the ice. He will work diligently with the players to create a hardworking, resilient and competitive hockey team in a fun, safe and respectful environment.
