U11 AA Head Coach -Brendan Rawlins
Brendan is very excited to be given the opportunity to coach the U11 AA
team for the 2026/27 season.
A product of the NMHA rep system, he developed
through the program and finished his minor hockey career by winning an OMHA
Championship with the Midget (U18) AA team. Having grown up playing his minor
hockey in Newmarket, he understands the pride and responsibility that comes
with representing the association.
Brendan brings extensive coaching experience
across multiple sports. He is currently in his third year as a head coach with
Newmarket Baseball and leads the U10 AAA team. This past season, he also served
as an assistant coach with the U10 AA Newmarket Renegades. In addition, Brendan
was a teacher for over 10 years, coaching nearly every school sport imaginable
and building a strong foundation in mentoring young athletes.
He has a major passion for youth sports and
believes team environments help kids develop confidence, resilience,
accountability, and leadership while learning how to handle both success and
adversity. Brendan focuses on putting players in positions to succeed,
emphasizing skill development, effort, discipline, respect, and being great
teammates; with the goal of developing not only strong hockey players, but even
better people.
He is looking forward to building this team
and creating a positive, competitive, and rewarding season for everyone
involved.
