REDMEN - "Let’s all be Good Ambassadors"
Submitted By Kirk Kelly on Fri 01 22, 16
It has been brought to the NMHA’s attention by the Town of Newmarket that some children wearing Redmen apparel  have been using the community ice at Whipper Watson park prior to it being ready and doing damage to the ice. A recent ERA-Banner newspaper article said, volunteers operate these town sponsored ice pads.

Town representatives have mentioned; children have commented that they will “come back when the crews have left” to continue skating.  We would like to remind all families that wearing the Redmen Jacket and playing rep or house league hockey in Newmarket carries a certain amount of responsibility.  Let's all be Good Ambassadors of the NMHA and stay off the ice pads until the volunteer operators have built up enough of an ice base to open the ice surfaces. By doing this we will all get ice pads we can enjoy for many weeks this winter.
