NMHA Announces Coach Mentor
Newmarket Minor Hockey Association is pleased to announce that Peter McBride has joined the Association as Coach Mentor to help further develop the program we provide to our coaches and players. Peter comes to us not only with a wealth of experience and expertise in the game of hockey, but as a professional educator as well.

Peter is really excited about this opportunity.  Peter shares the NMHA vision to have all coaches strive to be lifelong learners of the game. He will provide coaches with the resources and skills necessary to ensure that they and their athletes reach their potential creating a culture of mutual respect and a community atmosphere among all.
Peter’s wealth of experience and knowledge makes him a key addition to the NMHA family. We view his appointment as a sign of our commitment to our members to strive to be the Association others, including the OMHA, look to as a benchmark for their own programs. I am confident that Peter will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality programs for our members.
Peter is a Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC) as designated by the Coaches of Canada, as well as a Group Leader and Field Evaluator for Hockey Canada’s High Performance 1 program. Peter also currently serves as Associate Coach for the York University Men’s hockey team.
Please join me in welcoming Peter to the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association.
