Home & Home Weekend is back! A tradition started nearly two decades ago is still going strong and has become an annual weekend-long community event that we all look forward to.
Newmarket Renegades face off against the Aurora Tigers in a series of games taking place from Friday - Sunday at the Magna Centre, Aurora Community Centre and Stronach ARC. This is an exciting weekend for our athletes, with some friendly competition against our neighbours to the south!
In 2023, the Renegades won the Battle of Yonge St, so we head into the 17th Annual weekend with a 9-7 lead in the series! Ceremonial puck drop by Newmarket’s Mayor John Taylor and Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas will be Fri Oct 25th at 7pm at Magna Forhan.
FOOD DRIVE REMINDER
This event also provides a great opportunity to give back to our community and help stock the Newmarket Food Pantry’s shelves. In partnership with Home & Home Weekend Sponsor Dickie’s No Frills the NMHA will once again be hosting a Food Drive event in support of the Newmarket Food Pantry at the Magna Centre. Last year, with your help, we were able to raise over 550lbs of food. Help us top that this year! Please ensure that all items are not past their best before date. We will be collecting non-perishable food items throughout the weekend.
We are still looking for high school student volunteers to assist with the food drive – if interested, please email [email protected]
A BIG THANK YOU to our
