Over the Family Day Weekend, the families of the U15A Renegades made the trek to Chicago to participate in the President's Day Cup. The players were placed in the AA category and had a great showing. They went undefeated in the preliminary round 3-0-1 and finished in the top seed. Every game was competitive and the players showed a lot of grit and perseverance. Unfortunately, they fell a little short of their championship goal, losing in the championship game to the Lake Forest Winter Club in a passionate final game.
The players should be very proud of their silver medal this weekend. In addition to excellent hockey, great memories were had by all, as we got to witness Connor Bedard's first goal back as he returned from injury and families enjoyed a Blackhawks game. Most also got to enjoy some deep dish pizza & take in the sites of Chicago. It is tournaments like this that one builds memories for a lifetime. I'm proud of our player's accomplishments this weekend and look forward to building on our momentum with the playoffs we have remaining.
Go Renegades Go!!
