Congratulations to all our Newmarket Renegades teams, their coaches, parents and especially our athletes, on a convincing win in the 16th Annual 'Battle of Yonge Street' Home and Home Series with the Aurora Tigers.
Twenty five (25) Rep and Select teams from each association faced each other in this year's home and home format. The final point total was 59 - 41 in favour of your Newmarket Renegades!! Our Renegades now hold a 9-7 lead in the annual series. Along with a lot of competitive hockey, great camaraderie and sportsmanship we also held a food drive to support the Newmarket Food Pantry. Over 550lbs of much needed food was delivered to the pantry!!
Thank you to our Rep Partners, Miller Orthodontics and Pool Craft for their continued support and, to Dickie's No Frills Newmarket for helping to facilitate our food pantry drive and for providing 'Player of the Game' awards handed out at the Magna Centre and Ray Twinney Complex this past weekend.
