U14AA RENEGADES - OMHA CHAMPIONS!!!
Congratulations to the U14AA Newmarket Renegades on winning the OMHA Championships this past weekend in Kingston!
The boys displayed amazing effort throughout the entire Round Robin to remain undefeated and move onto the Semi-Finals. The players secured a 2-0 win over the Peterborough Petes in Game #1. A close second game with the Caledon Hawks ending in a 1-1 tie and then facing LaSalle in Game #3 with another tie (2-2).
The Semi-Finals had the team facing off against Halton Hills and a tough battle ensued, with the Renegades coming out on top with a 3-2 Overtime Win! Moving onto the Finals and facing the LaSalle Sabres again, the players came together with everything they had to finish with a 4-2 win and earning their Red Hats!!
Thank you to our amazing players, supportive parents and families, and fantastic Coaches who have worked so hard this season! With many of these players having played together since they were 6 and 7 years old, they are a very close-knit group and so encouraging and supportive of one another. Such a tremendous hockey family to be a part of!!
