The NMHA AGM was held this past Saturday, April 30th, 2022. 

It was great to be able to hold our first in-person AGM since 2019 and attendance was strong!

Election of 2022-23 Executive Members.

President - Lynda Carusi (elected)

Thank you to Andy Yonda for serving as President for the past two years. Andy will now take on the role of Past President. 

Vice President House League - Open

House League, Junior Alternate - Open

Rep Alternate - Izak Westgate (re-elected)

We also recognized the following award recipients: 

The Jean Spicer Memorial Award is given to U9 House League and Rep player who has demonstrated sportsmanship and dedication throughout the season. This year's winners were: 
HL - Frankie Ornat
Rep - Conor Howie

The Cy Gilbert Award is presented to a Senior Division HL & Rep Player showing outstanding sportsmanship, attitude and ability. This year's winners were:  
HL - Alexa Labelle
Rep - Aiden Baker

The President’s Youth Award is presented to a youth who has made a contribution to minor hockey during the past season. This year's deserving winner was Haley Patry.

The Drew Doak Memorial Award is presented to the person who has made a significant contribution to the NMHA. This year's award was presented to the NMHA's long time webmaster Ron MacLean. 

Peter Mashinter “My Kind of Ref” Award is presented to the referee who typifies what “My Kind of Ref” meant to Peter Mashinter. This year's award recipient is Tyler Coleta. 

The Kirk Kelly Coach of the Year for House League and Rep was awarded to: 
HL - Scott Baker (U7 Team Teal)
Rep - Dave Paterson (U1AA)

The House League Convenor of the Year Award recipients were: 
Junior Divisions - Dave Woods
Senior Divisions - Dan Levesque 

The Rep Manager of the Year was awarded to Krystie Robinson-Vincent (U13AA and U15MD) 

The following Newmarket Renegade Rep teams were recognized for being York Simcoe Champions! 

U11AE - Coach Jeff Murphy
U11A - Coach Adam Di Gaetano
U13AA - Coach Dave Paterson
U15A - Coach Jeff Kilb

We are looking forward to the 2022-2023 Newmarket Renegades season!
