U13 Select Wins Dick Catterall Tournament!!
It was an exciting weekend for the Newmarket Renegades U13 Select Team as they won the Dick Catterall Tournament.
The team demonstrated perseverance, resiliency, and exceptional teamwork throughout the tournament weekend. As a result of outstanding goaltending, a commitment to team defense, and a tenacious offensive attack the U13 Select team swept aside all competition in round robin play with 3 strong wins to earn a spot in the final four! After defeating the Brampton 45s in the semi-finals 7-0, the Renegades earned their spot in the finals against a strong Jordan Lions team. Despite falling to an early 2-0 deficit, the Renegades charged back with 4 unanswered goals and won the Finals 5-3.
On behalf of the coaches, families and friends who cheered the team on all tournament weekend, we are incredibly proud of this special team accomplishment!
