Novice AA, A, AE, & Tyke MD
There have been several questions/concerns raised as to why Coaches
haven’t been named for the Novice division and Tyke MD teams. Interviews have
taken place for candidates for these teams however the Association is trying a
different approach for these age groups this season. The NMHA will be running
the tryout process and using independent evaluators, picking the teams and then
deciding which of the various candidates are appropriate to Coach at each
level.
As there are a lot of unknowns in the younger age groups that are just starting out with the Rep experience, we felt this was a reasonable and fair approach to try. Of course we will be monitoring the process closely to assess its overall effectiveness throughout the coming season before deciding whether this approach will be adopted as the norm for these age groups in the seasons to follow.
