OMHA SILVER MEDALISTS - U15AA!!
Submitted By Chris Neale on Mon 04 11, 22
Congratulations to the U15 AA Renegades on their Finalist performance at the OMHA Championships in Kingston this past weekend.  This team represented the Town of Newmarket with tremendous class and pride!

The players battled hard all weekend and were undefeated through round robin play.  In the semi-finals, the Renegades had to play the very talented Oakville Rangers, currently ranked 2nd in the province, and once again put together an incredible effort and came away with a 4-1 victory to move onto the finals.

In the championship game vs. the Guelph Gryphons, both teams played a very entertaining game and were tied 1-1 going into the 3rd period.  In the end the Renegades lost a heartbreaker with two late goals by Guelph to seal their victory.  It was a tough loss but the boys should be very proud of their effort this past weekend.  It was an incredible run to end the season as this was just the 2nd loss for the U15 AA team in their last 26 games!

The team would like to thank all of their sponsors for their generous support this past season.  We would also like to thank our incredible parent group who have been so supportive of the players and coaching staff throughout the season.  Most of all we would like to thank the players.  This is an outstanding group of young men who worked incredibly hard and came together as a family this past season.  The coaching staff is so proud of each and every one of these players.
