U14MD - BRADFORD BLUE & GOLD TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!!
Submitted By Chris Neale on Tue 11 09, 21
Congratulations to the Renegades U14 MD team who pulled off a perfect 4-0 run to win the Bulldogs tournament in Nottawasaga this weekend!!!

The tournament started off on Friday with a come from behind win against the Brampton 45’s.  The game was highlighted by James Mallinos’ first of the season and hard fought Defence from the tandem of Owen Quail and Dean Perry. The Line of Jack Culbert/Gavin “8train” Smith/Derrick Huynh led the way with a strong performance!  A late Bar Down goal from Perry sealed it.

A 5-2 win in game 2 saw standout play from the Line of Marek Rabeau/Boog Ayre/Lucas “little” Stante.  With the help of some excellent puck movement by Ethan

Farrar and Aiden Bryl the Renegades dominated Late to take the win. Rugged corner work from young Jack Culbert contributed to an excellent forecheck.

The Renegades saw a complete effort in game 3 against the North York Knights to cement a spot in the Finals.  Tournament MVP Kieran Burton and linemate Pyrs Klein were too hard to handle for the Knights.  Boog Ayre Scored his 2nd of the tourney along with Lucas Stante, all assisted by Marek Rabeau.  With the help of Carsen Polgar and Ethan Zhang on Defence , Goalie Reid Achtermeier shut the door late to cruise the Renegades into the finals.

The Championship Game saw a complete team effort and a dominant Forecheck from the Renegades.  Goalie Troy Ehlert was great to keep the very determined Brampton 45’s off the scoresheet.  Kieran Burton and Pyrs Klein had clutch performances with Klein picking off a pass late to score the empty netter.  Carsen Polgar, Derrick Huynh and Gavin Smith had rugged performances to help along the way.

Coach Justin and his staff showed this weekend that Teamwork really does make the Dreamwork!
