U14 AA - Pickering AA Classic Tournament Champions!!
Submitted By Chris Neale on Mon 11 08, 21
This weekend the U14 Newmarket Renegades AA team competed in the Pickering - AA Classic tournament and brought home their second championship of the season!

The team rolled through a tough 10 team round robin beating the the Toronto Aeros 2-0 and the Ted Reeve Thunder 5-0 on Friday night.  Saturday morning saw the team face some adversity when they came up against a tough Cumberland Jr Grads team losing their first game of the season 1-0.  In the afternoon the team rallied to beat a very good Upper Ottawa Valley Aces team 3-0; earning the team a spot in the semi finals!

Sunday morning the team squared off against the Cumberland Jr Grads for a chance at redemption, this time the boys came out flying jumping out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first 3 minutes of the game, eventually beating them 5-1 and moving on to the finals.

In the finals we came up against the Ted Reeve Thunder - beating them 3-0 and winning the championship. This weekend was another amazing step forward for this group of players, such a pleasure to watch them compete and work each and every shift.

On behalf of the coaching staff - I would like to thank all of the parents and families for making the trek out to Pickering to cheer the boys on - the Renegades travel well!

Head Coach
