MIDGET REP TRYOUTS 2019-2020 START SEPT 3RD
Submitted By Patricia Thibault on Thu 08 15, 19
The Midget Rep tryout schedule, tryout policy and tryout passport application are now posted under the REP section on the NMHA website.

IMPORTANT TO TRYOUT

1. As of July 1st, 2019 the Ontario government is implementing “Rowan’s Law” a concussion awareness law.   This Act requires all sport organizations as defined in the Regulation (“Sports Organization”), which includes the

Ontario Hockey Federation (“OHF”), to have a Concussion Code of Conduct. The Ontario Hockey Federation is in full support of the intent of Rowan’s Law to create awareness of concussion, change the culture on concussion and provide safe sport participation.

Therefore, every player, at least one parent if player under 18 years of age, Team Officials and On-Ice Volunteers in order to register/participate must review the OHF Concussion Code of Conduct and the appropriate Concussion Awareness Resources in order to be able to participate with NMHA.  Once one has reviewed the material they must sign the OHF Rowan’s Law Acknowledgement Form confirming they have reviewed the material in order to participate with NMHA. Please note that this is a mandatory requirement before one can step on the ice, this is not optional.   Form with links to the Concussion Code of Conduct is posted under the REP section of the NMHA website.

2. To be eligible to tryout you must be registered with NMHA for the 2019-2020 season. If you are planning to attend tryouts and missed the online registration contact the NMHA office.

3. Must purchase a tryout passport.

NMHA is open to Non Resident Players (NRP), pursuant to: OMHA REG 3.5 Exemption to Play in Another Centre.

Please contact the NMHA Office if you have any questions.
