In the year 2000 John decided to leave his partnership in Scarborough and open TDS Transmission in Newmarket, Ontario. We are a family owned and operated business with two additional employees. John has been in the transmission business for over 40 years and his son TJ is one of our rebuilders and has been rebuilding transmissions for 17 years. Our other son Nick, rebuilt transmission for many years for us, but has since moved to a new occupation. The office Staff consists of Cheryl, John’s wife of 40 years and daughter Melissa who is now here on a part time basis. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® started in the early 1980s as a way for two brothers to make extra money while they were in high school. Now, 30 years later, the company has grown to more than 320 locations worldwide. Brothers Brig Sorber and Jon Sorber started moving people in Lansing, Michigan, using an old pickup truck.
