Ajax Break the Ice/Rust? Tourny
The Atom A team came together over the weekend in Ajax at the Break the Ice Tournament.
The team playing their first games together spent the first two games finding their legs and learning how to play with their new teammates. The result was 2 difficult losses to E.G. and Oshawa.
In their third game against Pickering the Atom A team began to gel and figure each other out. It was a very exciting hard fought game with Newmarket coming out with a 3-2 win.
This set up a do or die game 4 against Quinte West. It was a back and forth battle ending tied 3-3 at the end of regulation. Unfortunately the shootout didn't go our way and Quinte West(the eventual tournament champion) managed the win.
The kids had a great time bonding between games 3 and 4 at the Canlan park in Oshawa and again the next day at our Team Headquarters The Soubra Residence. Thanks again to the Soubra's for hosting a great party.
They kids showed great promise this weekend and I know we are all looking forward to a great season!!
