Redmen Peewee A - 2018 Pickering Spring Thaw Champions
The Redmen Peewee A team finished off the year with a tournament win in the Pickering Spring Thaw Tournament. The tournament was an international event as the tournament hosted a team from Finland.

The Redmen opened up the tournament on Friday April 6th with a win against the team from Finland with a dominating 8-1 win.  That was followed up with a 2-2 tie against the host Pickering Panthers.  On Saturday April 7th the team started the day with a convincing 5-1 win over the Guelph Gryphons, followed by another dominate win in a physical game over the Frontenac Flyers with a 5-0 victory.  The Peewee A Redmen finished the preliminary round undefeated and in first place.

On Sunday April 8th the team started the day with the semi final against the team from Finland with a 5-1 win to end the tournament for the visiting Finnish team.  In a show of support for the Humboldt Broncos the team from Finland wore Bronco Green tape on their helmets and sticks.  The championship game took place at the Oshawa Legends Arena against the Frontenac Flyers.  Both teams met at centre ice for a moment of silence in recognition of the tragic events that took place with the Humboldt Broncos.  The Redmen won the championship game 6-1, and are the 2018 Pickering Spring Thaw Peewee A Champions.
