66th Annual Atom Tournament Finalists - Minor Atom AA
This past weekend the Redmen Minor Atom AA competed in the 66th annual Newmarket Atom Tournament, and did Newmarket proud once again!

The boys has an amazing start, going 3-0 early in the round-robin.

In the semi-final game on Sunday, the Redmen had a convincing 4-0 win over the Vaughan Rangers, and went to the championship game to face the North Bay Trappers. The final match was an exciting game with lots of end-to-end play, and great scoring chances at both ends. Unfortunately, the Redmen just couldn't beat the Trappers and lost the final game 5-3.

The coaching staff and parents are incredibly proud of this team's efforts. Excellent puck movement and team-play, a tough fore-check, and solid goaltending make the Redmen a tough opponent for any team they face-off against.

The boys also took some time this weekend in between games to give back to our community with a visit our local Food Pantry, where they had a tour of the facility and dropped off many bags of food for those in need this holiday season.

This is the third time this season that the Minor Atom AAs have been to a tournament final, an amazing accomplishment! The boys are looking forward to the Silver Stick tournament in January and the playoffs.

We would like to thank the tournament organizers who put in a lot of time and effort into a great local tournament!
