Minor Midget AA Humberview Champions!
Congratulations to the
Newmarket Redmen Minor Midget AA team for winning
the Humberview Huskies Scotiabank Invitational Tournament
in Toronto October 17-19th, 2014.
The Redmen advanced to the finals winning three preliminary round robin games with strong team play and stellar goaltending vs. North York Knights, Oshawa Minor Generals and TNT Tornadoes. After four thrilling scoreless periods of hockey, the Redmen beat the North York Knights in an exciting shoot-out to win the Championship Final 1-0 and claim the prestigious Gold Cup.
Congratulations to all the players for the incredible effort they put forth over the five games, and congratulations to all of the coaches and parents.
